“The most coveted award of the afternoon was bestowed upon the Youth of the Year, 16-year-old Mur-Ray Colbert. Mur-Ray was honored not only for overcoming obstacles in her life to achieve academic success but also for her work with youth at each of the neighborhood sites. Rep. George Miller, D-Solano personally acknowledged Mur-Ray and presented her with a plaque.”
